Another lovely image! Amazing stillness – and then the eye catches the seagull, soaring!
And a fine Ash Wednesday sermon too. I was in the same form at school as David Hare – perhaps his experience of daily chapel at Lancing informs Racing Demon. While he was writing it he was corresponding with our old Chaplain C R Campling, later Dean of Ripon!
